Download Touch

Touch is a freeware windows program pre-compiled using Script. It allows you to easily change file create and modify times on a file. Follow the instructions below to install Touch.

1. Download the single All files archive by right clicking the link below and selecting Save Target As.
2. Open the zip file from your downloads folder. Leave this folder open for later.
3. Go to This PC => C: => Users then open your user folder.
4. If you don't already have one, create a folder in your user folder called Apps.
5. Open the Apps folder and create a subfolder called Touch then open this folder.
6. Copy the contents of the zip file folder to the Touch subfolder. Close the zip file folder but leave the Touch folder open.
7. Right click Start and select Run
8. Type in shell:sendto and click OK to open your SendTo folder.
9. Right click and hold Touch.exe in the Touch subfolder then slide into the SendTo folder and release.
10. Select Create shortcut from the menu.

You have now added Touch to your SendTo menu. To use, simply right click a file, select Send to then Touch. Use the dialogs to change first the date then the time for the file. This will be applied to both create and modify times.
